Today is my birthday...

Thus meaning today is the start, as I determined, of my 365 photo project.
Why this year? I've hardly ever had a good birthday, one that really stands the test of time. I don't remember a good birthday, and given what all went down last year, my 21st year, I thought what a perfect way to not only remind myself why I picked this career path, why I love this form of art, but to show myself birthdays don't matter. It's how you live day-to-day life. And I really want a collection of this thought, to look back on when I'm old and grey and worrying about getting another year older.
Why I don't think about getting older, people my age now are married, pregnant, engaged, have children, have real jobs and homes. And I don't, I still get to be a kid. Maybe it's good for some people, to have those things, but to me I like being able to run around like a 5 year old, go to classes to find the job I really love, and grow up when I want. Just because I'm 22 on the outside doesn't mean I ever have to be on the inside.

So I don't have a photo of the day yet, I just wanted to actually get this blog started for my 365. I have some photos from the other day. Later tonight I shall post my actual photo of the day. :)

These are from the other night with a friend, it was a black-light party with some slow shutter speeds.

Well this one isn't from the black-light party. It's from Little Italy's where we went to eat for my birthday.

But yes, the first photo of this project will be posted later, and then from there on out it will be everyday. :)
